POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 53rd annual Auto Club NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Steve Graham Runs 6.684/207.40, Now #17; Best prior run: 19.954/42.94, Was #20
Right Lane: Alan Prusiensky Runs 17.416/49.17, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.665/207.34, Was #16

Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 48 percent, barometer 28.86 inches, adjusted altitude 2,678 feet, track temperature 107 degrees.

Graham carried the front end for a long way and makes his quickest pass of the weekend, but just misses getting in the show. Steve Graham's incremental times: 60ft-1.015 sec., 330ft-2.804, 660ft-4.307/164.29 mph, 1,000ft-5.598.

Prusiensky with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Shane Tucker Runs 6.718/205.26, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.714/205.91, Was #18
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.564/210.14, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.565/209.85, Was #5

Tucker just off his qualifying time from yesterday and he will not get in the show.

Enders with her quickest pass of the weekend, but will stay in the number five spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.228/167.32 mph, 1,000ft-5.496.

Left Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.622/208.88, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.642/208.26, Was #15
Right Lane: Joey Grose No Time, Now #20; Best prior run: 6.944/195.53, Was #20

Grose breaks on the burnout and the Safety crew pushes it back to the starting line.

Kramer is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend, but will stay in the number 15 spot. Deric Kramer's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.772, 660ft-4.260/165.52 mph, 1,000ft-5.543.

Left Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.614/209.79, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.615/209.20, Was #14
Right Lane: Val Smeland Runs 6.915/199.61, Now #19; Best prior run: 6.766/202.94, Was #19

Delco is a tick better than yesterday, but will stay in the number 14 spot. Kenny Delco's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.775, 660ft-4.260/166.25 mph, 1,000ft-5.538.

Smeland spun the tires right at the hit and will be down to one more shot to get in the show.

Right Lane: Shane Gray Runs 14.598/59.86, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.595/210.64, Was #11

Johnson with his quickest pass of weekend and he will move up the ladder a couple spots. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.229/166.35 mph, 1,000ft-5.507.

Gray with severe tire shake and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 6.583/209.10, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.586/208.71, Was #11
Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.602/210.73, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.599/210.50, Was #13

laughlin with his quickest pass of the weekend and he ties Johnson's E.T., but will give up the spot based on his slower speed. Alex Laughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.749, 660ft-4.229/166.35 mph, 1,000ft-5.506.

Hartford slows from his pass from yesterday...Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-1.000 sec., 330ft-2.781, 660ft-4.260/166.91 mph, 1,000ft-5.532.

Left Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.578/211.10, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.571/211.36, Was #8
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 11.789/75.73, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.558/209.46, Was #3

McGaha made a quick move toward the wall, but he reeled it in to make the second quickest pass of the session. He will not improve on his E.T. from yesterday. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.236/166.95 mph, 1,000ft-5.508.

Coughlin launched with a big wheelstand and when the front end came back down to the track, the rear tires shook and coughlin clicked it off.

Left Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.546/210.14, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.565/209.65, Was #6
Right Lane: Brian Self Runs 14.156/61.73, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.574/209.52, Was #9

Line launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot with the quickest pass of this session. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.970 sec., 330ft-2.735, 660ft-4.208/167.24 mph, 1,000ft-5.477.

Self with severe tire shake right at the hit.

Left Lane: Drew Skillman Runs 6.558/211.16, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.555/211.69, Was #3
Right Lane: Bo Butner Runs 6.570/210.01, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.566/210.28, Was #7

Skillman is straight down the groove with the second quickest pass of the session, but will stay in the number three spot. Drew Skillman's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.748, 660ft-4.222/167.34 mph, 1,000ft-5.490.

Butner with the fourth quickest pass of the session, but will not improve. Bo Butner's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.750, 660ft-4.227/167.07 mph, 1,000ft-5.498.

Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.556/210.93, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.541/209.79, Was #1
Right Lane: Tanner Gray Runs 6.562/210.50, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.564/210.64, Was #5

Anderson with another good looking pass, the second quickest of the session. He will not improve, but holds on to the number one spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.741, 660ft-4.216/167.55 mph, 1,000ft-5.487.

Gray with the fourth quickest pass of the session with his quickest pass of the weekend. He will stay in the number five spot. Tanner Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.753, 660ft-4.226/167.45 mph, 1,000ft-5.494.
