Hight, B. Force, Line and Krawiec Victorious Sunday At AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals

ENNIS, Texas -- Robert Hight powered to the Funny Car victory Sunday at the 32nd annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex.

Brittany Force (Top Fuel), Jason Line (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also earned victories in their respective categories at the fourth of six playoff events during the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship.

Robert Hight, AAA of Southern California Chevy Camaro, 3.877 seconds, 332.34 mph defeated Ron Capps, NAPA Auto Parts Dodge Charger, 3.927 seconds, 329.18 mph.

Robert inched closer to points leader Ron Capps with his fourth victory in 2017.

Brittany Force, Monster Energy dragster, 3.681 seconds, 326.87 mph defeated Shawn Langdon, Global Electronic Technology dragster, 3.693 seconds, 326.56 mph. 3.681 SEC., 326.87

Force moved up to second in the Top Fuel points standings with her third victory of the season.

Jason Line, Summit Racing Equipment Chevy Camaro, 6.548 seconds, 211.20 mph defeated Drew Skillman, Ray Skillman Chevy Camaro, foul - red light.

Line earned his first victory since the season-opening Pomona race, and he now has three career wins at Texas Motorplex.

Eddie Krawiec, Screamin' Eagle Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson, 9.336 seconds, 92.62 mph defeated Jerry Savoie, Savoie's Alligator Farm Suzuki, foul - red light.

Krawiec now has three victories at Texas Motorplex while no other Pro Stock Motorcycle rider has more than one.

Top Fuel points leader Steve Torrence, a Kilgore, Texas native, was uninjured and exited the vehicle under his own power after his Capco Contractors dragster lost control after crossing the finish line during the second round of eliminations. Torrence won the round against Richie Crampton. Per NHRA rules, Torrence was allowed to bring out a back-up car to race in the semifinal round where he lost to Brittany Force.
