BAYTOWN, Texas - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 27th annual O'Reilly NHRA SpringNationals presented by Super Start Batteries:

This is the first time Strasburg and Brounkowski have faced each other in eliminations.

Good race, but Brounkowski led from the git-go. Strasburg made his quickest run of the event, in a losing cause. David Brounkowski's incremental margins: 60ft(0.012), 330 ft(0.019), 660ft(0.056), 1,000ft(0.071). MOV: 0.0281 seconds (approximately 11 feet).

This is the first time Meyer and Fair have faced each other in eliminations.

Meyer won this on a holeshot, but he had to come from behind to do it. Fair's car was much quicker in the first half of the track, Meyer's in the second half when Fair's came up a little short on power.

Randy Meyer's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.011), 330 ft(-0.016), 660ft(-0.013), 1,000ft(0.023). MOV: 0.0938 seconds (approximately 34 feet).

Meyer will not have lane choice against Brounkowski in the semifinals.

This is the first time Pierce and Domingue have faced each other in eliminations.

Domingue led early with a big holeshot, but Pierce ran him down quickly and looked like a sure winner all the way to half track. Then Domingue's car started pulling hard and Poerce's fell off the pace, his speed down more than 10 mph from his best qualifying run.i Buddy Domingue's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(0.025), 330 ft(-0.010), 660ft(-0.017), 1,000ft(-0.004). Callaway hads a big holeshot advantage, but tire shake slowed him early in the run and Taliaferro won going away.

Taliaferro will have lane choice against Domingue in the semifinals.
