Pelrine, Vickers Grab Wins at Rain Delayed NHRA Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series

DINWIDDIE, Va. -- Mike Pelrine and Johnny Vickers grabbed the win in Top Fuel Harley and Pro Fuel Harley for the recently completed NHRA Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series event that was postponed last month at Royal Purple Raceway due to persistent rain.

Pelrine, Aruderheim, Alb., took the win in 6.455 seconds at a speed of 237.05 mph over Mike Scott, Blind Bay, B.C., and Vickers got the win over Janette Thornley, Sacramento, Calif. Vickers clocked in at 7.497, 170.45 mph to win on a hole shot over the quicker Thornley running 7.494 at 161.96.

The following are final results from the rain delayed NHRA Harley-Davidson Drag Racing Series, South Central Division Showdown at Sundown finished at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Northeast Division, Power in the Park :

Mike Pelrine, Bruderheim, Alb., '09 Weekend, 6.455, 237.05 def. Mike Scott, Blind Bay, B.C., '11 Harley, broke.

PRO FUEL HARLEY
Johnny Vickers, Millers Creek, N.C., '10 Hawaya, 7.497, 170.45 def. Janette Thornley, Sacramento, Calif., '11 Hawaya, 7.494, 161.96.
