Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Final Session

POMONA, Calif. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 54th annual Circle K NHRA Winternationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: Shane Tucker Runs 12.863/65.62, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.594/210.50, Was #16

Weather conditions: air temperature 68 degrees, relative humidity 47 percent, barometer 29.08 inches, adjusted altitude 2,092 feet, track temperature 86 degrees.

Left Lane: Paul Pittman Runs 11.301/79.40, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.676/208.10, Was #17
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.612/209.82, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.589/209.75, Was #15

Pittman with a lot of tire shake and he clicks it off and he will not qualify. Morgan will not improve and will start from the number 15 spot.

Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.567/210.57, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.567/210.97, Was #13
Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.585/210.14, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.574/209.79, Was #14

Stanfield matches his qualifying time from earlier today and will start from the number 14 spot. no help here for Hartford and he will start from the number 14 spot.

Left Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.563/211.16, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.552/211.69, Was #11
Right Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 9.812/95.09, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.566/211.20, Was #12

McGaha with another good pass, just few ticks off his qualified time. He will start from the number 11 spot. Kramer with a lot of tire shake and he clicks it off.

Left Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.547/211.76, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.541/211.79, Was #8
Right Lane: Jimmy Alund Runs 6.550/211.76, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.546/211.86, Was #10

Brogdon with another good pass, but he will not improve and will start from the number 8 spot. Alund will make his first sunday start in the NHRA and he will start from the number 10 spot.

Left Lane: Shane Gray Runs 6.537/211.79, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.528/211.89, Was #6
Right Lane: Erica Enders-Stevens Runs 6.516/212.53, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.544/212.29, Was #9

Gray with another good looking pass and it is second quickest of the session, but he gets bumped back one spot by Enders-Stevens. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.211/168.14 mph, 1,000ft-5.473. Enders-Stevens with her quickest pass of the weekend and goes to the number four spot. This is the quickest pass of the session. Erica Enders-Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.737, 660ft-4.197/168.53 mph, 1,000ft-5.455.

Left Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.537/211.86, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.519/211.46, Was #5
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 11.402/75.98, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.531/211.96, Was #8

Connolly with another good looking pass, but he didn't improve. This is the second quickest pass of the round and will start from the number five spot. Dave Connolly's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.212/168.01 mph, 1,000ft-5.474. Coughlin starts shake early and clicks it off.

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 9.262/83.19, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.515/212.83, Was #3
Right Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 6.510/212.33, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.523/212.73, Was #6

Gaines shook and clicked it off. Nobile launched hard and keep it hooked up to go to then number one spot. Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.726, 660ft-4.189/168.09 mph, 1,000ft-5.449.

Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.512/212.96, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.514/212.96, Was #2
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.520/212.46, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.514/212.63, Was #3

Johnson with another good pass, but can't get the number one spot back. He runs second quickest pass of the session and will start from the number two spot. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.738, 660ft-4.198/168.75 mph, 1,000ft-5.454. Line with good looking pass, but he will not improve. He runs the fourth quickest pass of the session and will start Sunday from the number three spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.977 sec., 330ft-2.737, 660ft-4.201/168.41 mph, 1,000ft-5.459.
