POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 54th annual Circle K NHRA Winternationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Shane Tucker Runs 6.594/210.50, Now #13; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 62 degrees, relative humidity 54 percent, barometer 29.09 inches, adjusted altitude 1,682 feet, track temperature 89 degrees.

Tucker with his quickest pass to get in the show for now. Shane Tucker's incremental times: 60ft-0.994 sec., 330ft-2.771, 660ft-4.250/166.29 mph, 1,000ft-5.522.


Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.531/211.96, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.541/212.39, Was #3
Right Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.541/211.66, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.541/211.79, Was #4

Coughlin with his quickest pass of the weekend, but will stay in the number three spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.208/168.47 mph, 1,000ft-5.467. Brogdon matched his pass from yesterday's first pass, but will stay number four. Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.748, 660ft-4.214/167.97 mph, 1,000ft-5.476.

Left Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.574/209.79, Now #13; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Paul Pittman Runs 6.676/208.10, Now #15; No Prior Run

Hartford with his quickest pass of the weekend to go to the number 13 spot. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.751, 660ft-4.227/166.68 mph, 1,000ft-5.499. Pittman with his quickest pass of the weekend to get in the show. Paul Pittman's incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.795, 660ft-4.303/164.09 mph, 1,000ft-5.592.

Left Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.566/211.20, Now #10; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.567/210.97, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.569/210.60, Was #10

Kramer launched hard and keep it hooked up to go to the number ten spot. Deric Kramer's incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.761, 660ft-4.233/167.26 mph, 1,000ft-5.499. Stanfield with his quickest pass of the weekend, but gets bumped back one spot. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.752, 660ft-4.227/166.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.497.

Right Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.552/211.69, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.573/211.26, Was #12

Morgan made a quick move toward the wall, but he reeled it in to get in the show. That will bump out Pittman. Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.239/166.46 mph, 1,000ft-5.513. McGaha makes a move in the direction to move up the ladder with his quickest pass of the weekend. Alund with a real nice pass, his career quickest and fastest pass to get into the top half of the show. Jimmy Alund's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.752, 660ft-4.220/168.01 mph, 1,000ft-5.482. Gaines launched hard and was straight down the groove with a great looking pass to go to the number one spot. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.741, 660ft-4.201/168.70 mph, 1,000ft-5.457.

Line with the quickest 60-foot time of the session and he parlays that into the number one spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.973 sec., 330ft-2.732, 660ft-4.196/168.45 mph, 1,000ft-5.454. Gray with a real nice pass, his quickest pass of the weekend to move into the number five spot. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.741, 660ft-4.203/168.39 mph, 1,000ft-5.464.

Left Lane: Erica Enders-Stevens Runs 6.544/212.29, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.547/211.79, Was #10
Right Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.519/211.46, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.543/211.49, Was #8

Enders-Stevens made a quick move toward the centerline and she reeled it in to make her quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder one spot. Erica Enders-Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.758, 660ft-4.223/167.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.482. Connolly launched hard and he runs his quickest pass of the weekend to move up to the number four spot. Dave Connolly's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.734, 660ft-4.196/168.35 mph, 1,000ft-5.456.

Left Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 6.523/212.73, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.528/212.29, Was #5
Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.514/212.96, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.517/212.53, Was #3

Nobile with another grat pass and makes his quickest pass of the weekend, but will stay in the number five spot. Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.744, 660ft-4.206/168.28 mph, 1,000ft-5.462. Johnson launched hard and keep it hooked up and tied Line's E.T. and grabbed the number one spot back based on his faster mph. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.738, 660ft-4.198/168.32 mph, 1,000ft-5.455.
