Top Fuel Qualifying Notes, Session #4

JUPITER, Fla. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA, Fourth annual PRO Winter Warmup listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Khalid alBalooshi Runs 6.457/92.57, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.750/328.20, Was #3
Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 9.247/76.55, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.726/324.25, Was #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 63 degrees, relative humidity 29 percent, barometer 30.16 inches.

alBalooshi gets out to about 200 feet and starts to lose traction and clicks it off. Langdon is up in smoke right at the hit and clicks it off.


Left Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 8.259/79.29, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.575/79.79, Was #10
Right Lane: Bob Vandergriff Runs 3.842/301.81, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.817/322.42, Was #7

Torrence loses traction early and clicks it off. Vandergriff launched hard and keep it hooked up with a clean pass. Bob Vandergriff's incremental times: 60ft-0.845 sec., 330ft-2.144, 660ft-3.053/273.94 mph.

Left Lane: Terry McMillen Runs 9.185/72.38, Now #9; Best prior run: 3.877/293.98, Was #9

McMillen starts to lose traction early and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 3.795/320.66, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.790/320.58, Was #5
Right Lane: Richie Crampton Runs 9.462/72.64, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.808/323.97, Was #6

Massey launched hard and keep it hooked up to run the quickest pass of the session. Spencer Massey's incremental times: 60ft-0.847 sec., 330ft-2.144, 660ft-3.043/282.30 mph. Crampton starts to smoke the tires and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.787/322.96, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.765/327.27, Was #4
Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.737/325.85, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.735/325.37, Was #2

This is a great side-by-side drag by the DSR team cars to wrap up the top Fuel PRO Warmup. Schumacher launched hard and was straight down the groove with the second quickest pass of the session. Tony Schumacher's incremental times: 60ft-8.845 sec., 330ft-2.151, 660ft-3.041/284.56 mph. Brown with the header flames shooting high over the rear wing all the way down track hitting on all eight. He runs the quickest pass of the session and the quickest pass of the day. This pass is also the third quickest of the day, right behind Brown's second quickest pass yesterday of 3.735 seconds. Antron Brown's incremental times: 60ft-0.836 sec., 330ft-2.125, 660ft-2.998/290.32 mph.
