JUPITER, Fla. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Funny Car at the NHRA, Fourth annual PRO Winter Warmup listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Chad Head Runs 4.102/311.85, Now #7; Best prior run: 4.170/279.21, Was #9
Right Lane: Ron Capps Runs 10.476/82.98, Now #1; Best prior run: 4.003/320.26, Was #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 65 degrees, relative humidity 36 percent, barometer 30.15 inches, adjusted altitude 174 feet.

Head with his quickest pass of the PRO Warmup as he is straight down the groove. Chad Head's incremental times: 60ft-0.909 sec., 330ft-2.340, 660ft-3.319/263.77 mph. Capps was quickest Funny Car during both session yesterday. He is up in smoke early and clicks it off.


Left Lane: Alexis DeJoria Runs 8.540/82.02, Now #8; Best prior run: 4.108/311.27, Was #8
Right Lane: Robert Hight Runs 10.312/64.95, Now #2; Best prior run: 4.039/315.56, Was #2

DeJoria starts to lose traction early and clicks it off. Hight ran the second quickest pass yesterday. Hight is up in smoke right at the hit.

Left Lane: Courtney Force Runs 4.077/315.49, Now #7; Best prior run: 8.732/66.82, Was #12
Right Lane: Tommy Johnson Jr. Runs 9.443/79.59, Now #10; Best prior run: 4.134/299.93, Was #9

Force with a good looking pass and then right in the lights got a little loose and over by the centerline. She runs the quickest pass today. Courtney Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.901 sec., 330ft-2.326, 660ft-3.301/266.00 mph. Johnson Jr. still in the plain car waiting on the wrap and he is up in smoke early and clicks it off.

Left Lane: John Force Runs 4.036/314.83, Now #2; Best prior run: 4.183/269.51, Was #11
Right Lane: Jack Beckman Runs 9.842/69.58, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.061/312.06, Was #4

Force launched hard and keep it hooked up to run the second quickest pass of the PRO Warmup. John Force's incremental times: 60ft-0.892 sec., 330ft-2.304, 660ft-3.263/268.49 mph. Beckman is up in smoke right off the starting line and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Del Worsham Runs 7.524/87.19, Now #4; Best prior run: 4.056/315.93, Was #4
Right Lane: Bob Tasca III Runs 4.084/314.39, Now #6; Best prior run: 4.067/314.46, Was #6

Worsham with third quickest time yesterday starts to lose traction early and clicks it off. Tasca with another good looking pass, straight down the groove. Bob Tasca III's incremental times: 60ft-0.906 sec., 330ft-2.343, 660ft-3.306/270.21 mph.

Left Lane: Matt Hagan Runs 4.085/317.19, Now #7; Best prior run: 4.072/304.67, Was #7
Right Lane: Cruz Pedregon Runs 4.456/204.73, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.790/89.25, Was #12

Hagan with another good looking pass running right in between his two pass from yesterday and the fourth quickest of this session. Matt Hagan's incremental times: 60ft-0.911 sec., 330ft-2.348, 660ft-3.314/267.53 mph. Pedregon started to get out of the groove and started to lose traction and clicked it off.
