POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 49th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals:

12:05 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 74 degrees, relative humidity 26 percent, barometer 29.01 inches, adjusted altitude 2,396 feet, track temperature 92 degrees.

Enders-Stevens is 10 - 3 against Gray in prior events. Erica has a nine to two first round advantage over Gray. Gray won the last event at Las Vegas.

Gray nails the tree with a 0.004 light and just pulls steadily ahead for the car length win.

Enders-SDteven's Camaro made a big move out the groove at the launch and it cost her.

Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.772, 660ft-4.248/167.20 mph, 1,000ft-5.517.

This is Massel's first round of NHRA eliminations in Pro Stock. He is driving Kent's Camaro. Looks like he will play the staging game too.

After a long delay, Massel stages. He nails the tree and stays in front for a while.

Perkinson's Camaro moves hard towards the center line at the launch and he has to fight it on down the track for the eighteen foot win.

Buddy Perkinson's incremental times: 60ft-1.002 sec., 330ft-2.806, 660ft-4.291/165.64 mph, 1,000ft-5.586.
Bruno Massel's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.836, 660ft-4.366/162.45 mph, 1,000ft-5.664.

Anderson is 25 - 5 against Gaines in prior events. Gains has only beat Anderson one time in the thirteen times they have met in round one.

Anderson has all of the number for the nine foot win.

Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.745, 660ft-4.210/168.14 mph, 1,000ft-5.473.
V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-0.994 sec., 330ft-2.762, 660ft-4.231/167.93 mph, 1,000ft-5.493.

Johnson is away first and makes his best pass of the weekend to take the win.

Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.773, 660ft-4.247/166.93 mph, 1,000ft-5.516.

Line is 22 - 14 against Stanfield in prior events. They have met seventeen times in round one and Line has won ten of those.

Line is still in the hunt for the championship and this is a must win race.

Line gets a small advantage at the green and stays ahead of Stanfield for the vital win. He will have lane choice over Perkinson in the next round.

Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.762, 660ft-4.231/167.70 mph, 1,000ft-5.495.
Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.757, 660ft-4.236/166.56 mph, 1,000ft-5.510.

Johnson is 26 - 16 against Edwards in prior events. Johnson has a careen first round advantage of 15 to 6 over Edwards. Edwards is tied with Line in points right not and this is a must win round for him too.

Edwards lurches over the starting line and goes red. That will give him a number three spot for the year. OUCH!

Johnson has his own problems at the green and bucks off the line. He drives it on down for the easy win. He gives up lane choice to Gray in round two.

These two have met three times before, with Jones winning all of them. We get another staging duel.

Hartford gets off the line first, but Jones has the power to run the best ET of the session and take the win. He takes lane choice over anderson by 0.005 next round.

Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-1.019 sec., 330ft-2.802, 660ft-4.286/165.88 mph, 1,000ft-5.562.

Nobile is 6 - 3 against Coughlin in prior events. Nobile has beat Coughlin both times they have met in round one. Vincent Nobile is 6-3 vs. Jeg for his career...4-2 this year and 2-0 in their round one matches.

Coughlin does what he needs to do to keep himself in the points lead. Nobile gets a 0.003 lead at the green, but VCoughlin is ahead after that and takes the win by seventeen feet.

Johnson will have lane choice next round.

Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-1.014 sec., 330ft-2.790, 660ft-4.265/167.05 mph, 1,000ft-5.532.
