LAS VEGAS - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 13th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals:

12:12 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 22 percent, barometer 27.75 inches, adjusted altitude 4,236 feet, track temperature 98 degrees.

Hall gets a small advantage off the line, they were dead even at the sixty foot mark, then Kennedy is out of power by half track, not sure why.

Pollacheck gets out of the gate first but Savoie pulls even at the 330 foot mark and pulls away for the win.

Jerry Savoie's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.012), 330 ft(0.002), 660ft(0.010), 1,000ft(0.020). MOV: 0.0289 seconds (approximately 8 feet).

Eddie Krawiec has won this race twice and is the defending champion.

Ray gets a big advantage off the line and makes his quickest pass of the weekend to pull away for the win.

This is the first time all year that the three Arana family members have all qualified in the top five spots.

Arana Jr is 5 - 3 against Tonglet in prior events

LE Tonglet won here in 2010.

Not sure what happened here, Arana hits the throttle and the bike went nowhere. Tonglet goes right down the groove and takes the win.

Andrew Hines has won this race three times. Andrew and Matt have met six times in round one in their careers and Andrew leads 5 - 1 in those meetings.

Smith leaves the line a tick ahead of Hines and pulls away quickly for the win.Hines has problems and is off the throttle early.

Smith will have lane choice over Tonglet in the next round.

Smith gets a big hole shot and extends her lead all the way through the run. Johnson fell back quickly and made his slowest pass of the weekend.

Savoie will have lane choice over Smith in the next round.

Hector Arana has not won from the #1 spot since 2009, a span of 18 races. That is the longest anyone has gone in any pro class without a win after qualifying #1. Hector is 176 - 176 coming into this race.

Arana is 7 - 2 against Gann in prior events.

Arana is really late off the line, then is out of power early. Gann takes the win and will have lane choice over Hall in the next round.

With the Arana's losing all matt Smith has to do is go two rounds further than Ray to clinch the championship.
