Summit Motorsports Park Brings Home Multiple Wins

At NHRA North Central Division Summit Racing Series Finals



BROWNSBURG, Ind. -- In the final results from Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis and the NHRA North Central Division Summit Racing Series, Summit Motorsports Park captured its second team championship and both the Super Pro Motorcycle and Sportsman champions.

Adam Cline took home the Super Pro championship and was joined by Kip Norup, Nick Hastings and Craig Adams in the winner's circle celebration.

Cline, Franklin, Ky., worked his way through the field and ran 5.730 seconds at 119.75 mph in his final round victory over Chris Bear, Toledo, Ohio, who clocked in at 4.739 seconds, 142.49 mph

In Pro, it was Norup, Leafriver, Ill., who outlasted the competition knocking out Allyn Neff, Indianapolis, in the final with a pass of 6.284 seconds, 106.15 mph while Hastings, Shelby, Ohio, defeated Jim Harness Jr., Peru, Ind. with a time of 12.246 at 103.86 mph for the Sportsman title.

Adams, Brunswick, Ohio, rounded out the weekend's winners with a lap of 9.003 seconds, 143.47 mph to take down Rick Poole, Akron, Ohio in Bike. The four winners will advance to the Summit Racing Series National Championship in November at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona where they will meet up with the winner's from the six other NHRA divisions.

In the Race of Champions competition it was Wayne Adams, Hamilton, Ohio, taking the win in Super Pro over Terry Young, Rockford, Ill.; John Linnabary II, Taylor, Mich., defeated Ken Laker, Cecil, Ohio, in Pro; Kassie Edwards-Wilson, Charleston, Ill., took the Sportsman trophy against Randy Wolfe, Bunker Hill, Ind.; and the Bike title went to Joe Nowak, Carleton, Mich., who outran Michael Nugent, Medway, Ohio.
