CONCORD, N.C. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Sixth annual Carlyle Tools NHRA Carolina Nationals presented by NAPA Auto Parts:

Ray goes right down the groove with the quickest pass of the round so far and takes the win. He will have lane choice over Arana Jr. in the next round.

Tonglet gets off the line first and starts to extend his lead. Arana makes a move just past the 660 foot mark but quickly runs out of racetrack. Tonglet gets the hole-shot win and moves on to the next round.

Smith's engine died, they had trouble getting it to re-fire, then the starter moved Arana into the beams. Arana makes a decent pass but will give up lane choice to Krawiec in the next round. Arana goes to fourth place in the points with this win.

Pollacheck gets an almost perfect light and extends his lead all the way through the run. Pollacheck moves into the fifth spot with this win combined with Hall's loss. He will have lane choice over Tonglet in the next round.

Smith is 7 - 3 against Underdahl in prior events.Smith and Underdahl were almost even off the line but that is where it ended. Smith quickly starts pulling away and goes on for the win.

Smith will have lane choice over Hines in the next round.
