EARLVILLE, Iowa - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, West Central Division, event at Tri-State Raceway:

The weather has changed significantly from yesterday.The top two Central Region point leaders are here this weekend. Randy Meyer is just ten points in front of Gordon Gingles. Gingles was the winner here last year. Dreher gets away first and steadily pulls ahead going down the track to take the win.

Fricke made a clean pass, but was off his qualifying times.

Jared Dreher's incremental times: 60ft-0.933 sec., 330ft-2.415, 660ft-3.538/220.26 mph, 1,000ft-4.519.

Giggles won at Brainard recently.Hirata's engine has a hole out at the hit and is never in the hunt.

Gingles' engine likes the cooler weather and powers into the quickest run of the weekend and the easy win.

Gord Gingles' incremental times: 60ft-0.953 sec., 330ft-2.439, 660ft-3.566/218.87 mph, 1,000ft-4.517.
Dave Hirata's incremental times: 60ft-1.002 sec., 330ft-2.584, 660ft-3.797/206.86 mph, 1,000ft-4.821.

Close lights and Schmeeckle drives on by and stays in front until right before the 1000 foot lights. Meyer powers on by and takes the close win. He gives up lane choice over Gingles next round.

Dubbin's car wads up the tires and shakes big time right off the line at the green.

Booher is quickly on by and makes his quickest and fastest run to the weekend. However, Gingles run was quicker and he will have lane choice in round two.

Brandon Booher's incremental times: 60ft-0.909 sec., 330ft-2.406, 660ft-3.569/212.86 mph, 1,000ft-4.556.
