BROWNSBURG, Ind. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Pro Modified at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 59th annual Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals:

Rickie Smith is 2 - 1 against Von Smith in prior events.

This was pretty even at the green and over the first 300-400 feet, then Rickie's nitrous car started pulling away and kept extending the lead.

This is the first time these two have faced each other in eliminations.

Coughlin was a bit late, Fiscus was even later and this battle between to turbocharged entries was over when Fiscus got out of shape and had to backpedal.

Coughline races Rickie Smith in the semifinals, Smith has lane choice.

Janis had a big holeshot and Lang could not make up the difference, both drivers making very good runs.

Kenny Lang's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.636, 660ft-3.940/190.43 mph, 1,000ft-5.050.

This is the first time Martin and Rivenbark have faced each other in eliminations.

Rivenbark was off the line with a nice holeshot and he held on for the win against a quicker Martin.

Kevin Rivenbark's incremental margins: 60ft(0.063), 330 ft(0.053), 660ft(0.037), 1,000ft(0.021). MOV: 0.0097 seconds (approximately 3 feet).

Rivenbark will not have lane choice against Janis in the semifinals
