Pro Mod Qualifying Notes, Session #2

MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Aeromotive Fuel Systems Pro Mod at the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech, ADRL Memphis Drags IV listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Kevin Fiscus Runs 3.968/194.21, Now #6; Best prior run: 4.149/193.71, Was #13
Right Lane: Larry Higginbotham Runs 4.044/175.25, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.990/77.38, Was #15

9:23 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 81 degrees, relative humidity 82 percent, barometer 29.64 inches, adjusted altitude 2,602 feet, track temperature 90 degrees.

Fiscus was moving around early in the run but stayed on the throttle and moved up to the sixth spot for now. Higginbotham drifted to the left all the way through the run.


Left Lane: Erica Enders-Stevens Runs 8.874/44.34, Now #14; Best prior run: 4.130/184.67, Was #14
Right Lane: Von Smith Runs 3.955/189.52, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.982/188.83, Was #7

Enders-Stevens lost traction at the hit, made a move to the right and backed off the throttle. Smith improved and moved up to the third spot.

Left Lane: Jim Bell Runs 4.161/180.74, Now #15; Best prior run: 4.187/188.38, Was #15
Right Lane: Travis Harvey Runs 3.916/188.23, Now #1; Best prior run: 4.001/186.51, Was #10

Bell makes a quick move to the left and almost made it to the wall. He stayed on the throttle and rode close to the wall all the way through the run. Harvey made a great pass and moved into the top spot for now.

Left Lane: Raymond Matos Runs 3.923/191.10, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.992/190.00, Was #9
Right Lane: Kevin Rivenbark Runs 3.920/189.68, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.964/188.44, Was #6

A good side-by-side, both went right down the groove with their quickest passes of the day. Rivenbark moves up to the second spot, Matos to third.

Left Lane: Chris Rini Runs 3.920/190.11, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.953/189.20, Was #5
Right Lane: Dan Stevenson Runs 3.976/188.41, Now #10; Best prior run: 4.122/183.17, Was #13

Two more good runs, these cars seem to be liking the cooler temps. Rini moves into the second spot for now, Stevenson to the tenth.

Left Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 3.896/194.83, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.967/192.96, Was #8
Right Lane: Craig Cawte Runs 3.933/189.90, Now #6; Best prior run: 4.008/196.44, Was #12

Smith makes an impressive pass, the quickest of the day so far and moves into the top spot for now. Cawte improves and moves up to the sixth spot.

Left Lane: Jimmy Keen Runs 3.922/191.84, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.957/190.43, Was #9
Right Lane: Tim Savell Runs 3.887/191.67, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.934/190.35, Was #7

Savell makes his quickest pass of the year and takes the pole. Keen improves and moves up to the sixth spot.

Left Lane: Adam Flamholc Runs 3.977/189.18, Now #12; Best prior run: 3.995/189.34, Was #12

Flamholc goes right down the middle of the groove and improves but not enough to move up in the field.
