Pro X-Treme Qualifying Notes, Session #1
By Larry Sullivan

BUDDS CREEK, Md. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro X-Treme at the 2013 X-Treme Drag Racing League, Mayhem at the Creek listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Quain Stott Runs 3.689/205.91, Now #1
Right Lane: Tim Tindle Runs 5.951/113.05, Now #2

3:40 p.m. Tindle will have a matchup against Brandon Pesz later today to determine the St. Louis Pro X-Treme winner and he can be happy he had a chance to make this run. The car almost bogged, then shook and he lifted. Meanwhile, Stott had the opposite experience, a clean, straight pass right out of the box.

Quain Stott's incremental times: 60ft-0.940 sec., 330ft-2.487.

Left Lane: Danny Lowry Runs 7.941/66.60, Now #4
Right Lane: Terry Leggett Runs 3.749/205.10, Now #2

Lowry is the first Turbo car of the day and his launch was spectacular, with a lot of smoke (or vapor) when he lifted right after a wheels-up launch.

Leggett's run looked better than the numbers that came up on the scoreboard, with a 0.944 60-foot time, the car nosing over on the top end.

Left Lane: Todd Martin Runs 3.664/207.21, Now #2
Right Lane: Frankie Taylor Runs 3.655/208.17, Now #1

Nice side-by-side show! Both cars were hot and straight down the groove.

Todd Martin's incremental times: 60ft-0.921 sec., 330ft-2.460.
Frankie Taylor's incremental times: 60ft-0.930 sec., 330ft-2.464.

Left Lane: Todd Tutterow Runs 6.719/70.49, Now #7
Right Lane: Brandon Pesz Runs 6.585/89.27, Now #6

Both cars chattered the tires, then got sideways, and both drivers lifted.

{esz will meet Tindle this evening and neither driver had a good first run. They will meet to settle the St. Louis outcome during the third session today.
