GRAND BEND, Ont. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Fuel at the 2013 Nitro Jam Series, Mopar Nitro Jam Nationals Day One:

Maier had problems and slowed on the top end, but Litton's problems came much earlier, around 100 feet out.

Lagana had a nice holeshot and led all the way. Wurtzel was no a nice pass, eating into Lagana's lead, but the blower belt went flyib=ng around the 1,000-foot marker and the race was over.

Lagana will have lane choice against Maier in the Championship bracket Sunday, Litton and Wurtzel will meet in the Consolation pairing.
