JOLIET, Ill. - Results of round 3 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 16th annual O'Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by Super Start Batteries:

Hagan is second off the line but takes the lead quickly and pulls away for the win and the trip to the final round.

Force is 43 - 25 against Capps in prior events.

Force gets out of the gate first but Capps pulls even by the time they reach the sixty-foot mark. Capps gets about 200 feet out, strikes the tires, pedals once and has to give up on the run. Force goes right down the groove and takes the win to go to his third consecutive final round.

John Force's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(0.000), 330 ft(0.369), 660ft(0.929). MOV: 1.9203 seconds (more than 100 feet).Force will have lane choice over Hagan in the final round.
