Pro Mod Qualifying Notes, Session #2

MARTIN, Mich. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Aeromotive Fuel Systems Pro Mod at the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech, ADRL Summer Drags IX listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Kenny Lang Runs 5.241/94.49, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.998/189.61, Was #10
Right Lane: Clint Satterfield Runs 5.187/113.61, Now #18; Best prior run: 4.344/179.11, Was #18

2:34 p.m. There was lots of shake in both ;lanes.

Left Lane: Steve Matusek Runs 5.304/94.50, Now #17; Best prior run: 4.233/173.41, Was #16
Right Lane: Raymond Matos Runs 3.940/190.16, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.307/138.86, Was #17

Matusek's car made a sharp move toward the centerline about 200 feet out and he had to lift. No lifting for Matos, a hard charge rigth down the groove.

Raymond Matos' incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.636.

Left Lane: Larry Higginbotham Runs 4.044/177.77, Now #12; Best prior run: 4.038/178.16, Was #12
Right Lane: Tim Savell Runs 3.973/189.61, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.926/192.08, Was #1

Higginbotham's car was a little loose and a little left of the groove. Savell made his second solid run of the day, this one not quite as quick as the first.

Left Lane: Jim Bell Runs -99.999/0.00, Now #20; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Jason Hamstra Runs 5.305/95.04, Now #15; Best prior run: 4.058/184.15, Was #15

Bell never got fully staged. Hamstra made a hard charge, then got sideways and lifted.

Left Lane: Jeff Lutz Runs 3.982/195.41, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.961/196.75, Was #7
Right Lane: Dave Roemer Runs 4.332/172.72, Now #18; Best prior run: 5.510/91.62, Was #19

Roemer vcame closer to a full pass on this try, but he's still outside the expanded 16-car field.

Left Lane: Mike Gondziola Runs 6.415/91.23, Now #14; Best prior run: 4.048/188.52, Was #14
Right Lane: Kevin Rivenbark Runs 3.929/188.00, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.952/187.99, Was #6

Gondziola launched, the car fishtailed a couple times, and he lifted. Nice run by Rivenbark, straight and visibly quick.

Kevin Rivenbark's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.620.

Left Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 3.943/192.07, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.931/192.64, Was #3
Right Lane: Mike Janis Runs 3.961/191.00, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.969/191.25, Was #8

Nice runs in both lanes, Smith not quite as quick as his first, Janis slightly quicker than his.

Rickie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.650.
Mike Janis' incremental times: 60ft-1.033 sec., 330ft-2.671.

Left Lane: Harold Martin Runs 3.930/189.65, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.974/187.00, Was #9
Right Lane: Jimmy Keen Runs 3.929/190.17, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.933/188.94, Was #4

Martin made a nice run, with career bests for both ET and speed. Keen was a thousandthquicker and half-a-mph faster than Martin. Nice drag race.

Harold Martin's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.631.
Jimmy Keen's incremental times: 60ft-1.002 sec., 330ft-2.643.

Left Lane: Adam Flamholc Runs 3.946/189.64, Now #8; Best prior run: 4.150/176.75, Was #16
Right Lane: Chip King Runs 5.686/84.74, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.977/196.25, Was #10

King shook and lifted. Flamholc made a nice run this time, moving into the top half.

Adam Flamholc's incremental times: 60ft-1.001 sec., 330ft-2.639.

Right Lane: Travis Harvey Runs 5.492/87.86, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.937/188.85, Was #6

Harvey closed the session with lots of tire shake.
