Pro X-Treme Qualifying Notes, Final Session

MADISON, Ill. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro X-Treme at the 2013 X-Treme Drag Racing League, X-Treme Gateway Showdown listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Mike Recchia Runs 3.825/200.62, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.773/202.52, Was #10
Right Lane: Terry Leggett Runs 3.725/206.04, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.714/206.07, Was #5

12:59 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 86 degrees, relative humidity 49 percent, barometer 29.57 inches, adjusted altitude 2,485 feet, track temperature 127 degrees.

Field not filled, no bump spot.

Leggett runs close to his time and Recchia may have lifted right in the lights. Neither car will improve.

Terry Leggett's incremental times: 60ft-0.946 sec., 330ft-2.521.

Right Lane: Danny Lowry Runs 4.037/173.47, Now #13; Best prior run: 3.930/197.25, Was #13

Two clean passes, with both cars starting to drift towards the center line near the top end. They will stay #7 and #13 for now.

Dan Millen's incremental times: 60ft-0.961 sec., 330ft-2.562.
Danny Lowry's incremental times: 60ft-1.018 sec., 330ft-2.688.

Left Lane: Aaron Wells Runs 4.222/169.21, Now #14; Best prior run: 4.071/189.87, Was #14
Right Lane: Tim Tindle Runs 3.713/205.01, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.703/204.35, Was #3

Great pass for Tindle in the tough conditions and he improves his ET and MPH to stay #3.

Wells car was done early.

Tim Tindle's incremental times: 60ft-0.952 sec., 330ft-2.508.

Left Lane: Jon Stouffer Runs 3.891/187.44, Now #12; Best prior run: 3.907/187.57, Was #12
Right Lane: Todd Tutterow Runs 3.765/201.40, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.792/200.86, Was #11

Another pair of improvements and Tutterow gets there first and moves up one spot to number 10 for now.

Stouffer was right there behind him and improves his times to stay #12.

Jon Stouffer's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.587.
Todd Tutterow's incremental times: 60ft-0.956 sec., 330ft-2.538.

Left Lane: Quain Stott Runs 3.746/202.36, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.707/203.86, Was #4
Right Lane: Todd Martin Runs 6.485/69.18, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.725/204.82, Was #6

Martin fires and falls back to coast on down. Maybe something broke?

Clean pass for Stott to stay #4.

Quain Stott's incremental times: 60ft-0.956 sec., 330ft-2.526.

Left Lane: Neal Wantye No Time, Now #15; Best prior run: 4.114/136.22, Was #15
Right Lane: Randell Reid Runs 3.803/201.79, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.741/205.66, Was #8

Wantye engine starts and then goes silent. The crew is all over the car trying to find out whats wrong to no avail. They may get another chance at the end of the session.

Clean looking pass for Reid, but no improvement.

Randell Reid's incremental times: 60ft-0.963 sec., 330ft-2.562.

Left Lane: Frankie Taylor Runs 3.753/204.57, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.686/207.08, Was #2

Sounded like a looong time between the 1-2 shift and he slows from his prior best.

Frankie Taylor's incremental times: 60ft-0.952 sec., 330ft-2.542.

Left Lane: Neal Wantye Runs 5.031/99.05, Now #15; Best prior run: 4.114/136.22, Was #15

Wantye keeps the engine running this time and he has to lift off the line, as the back end starts to move around after the 60 foot lights.
