MADISON, Ill. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous at the 2013 X-Treme Drag Racing League, X-Treme Gateway Showdown listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Robert Mathis Runs 5.286/93.44, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.445/89.71, Was #6
Right Lane: Blake Housley Runs 4.091/180.60, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.522/87.93, Was #7

7:36 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 84 degrees, relative humidity 42 percent, barometer 29.53 inches, adjusted altitude 2,355 feet, track temperature 111 degrees.

A career best ET and MPH for Housley on a terrific looking pass.

Mathis has better numbers down low, but is done before the 330 lights.

Blake Housley's incremental times: 60ft-1.003 sec., 330ft-2.722.


Right Lane: Ron Muenks Runs 6.258/75.53, Now #8; Best prior run: 32.445/0.00, Was #8

Rahaim's Camaro gets just pass the starting line on his burnout and there is fire from the engine. Everyone quickly reacts and he is out of the car. The fire is small and quickly extinguished.

Muenks is told to refire and quickly goes in to stage. The tires go square at the hit and he is quickly off the throttle. That further than he got in session one and will stay number eight.

Left Lane: Jeff Naiser Runs 4.609/115.63, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.541/118.96, Was #5
Right Lane: Duke Snyder Runs 4.322/130.80, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.957/187.23, Was #2

That was expensive! Snyder gets to just past the 330 lights and there is a bunch of brilliant flashes from the headers and he slow.

Naiser gets to just past half track and slows too.

Right Lane: Keith Haney Runs 4.069/184.75, Now #4; Best prior run: 4.693/133.76, Was #6

Great improvement for Hanley and another career best performance to move him into the number four spot.

Keith Haney's incremental times: 60ft-1.017 sec., 330ft-2.725.

Right Lane: Bill Glidden Runs 4.410/129.21, Now #3; Best prior run: 4.051/184.52, Was #3

Strong leave for Glidden and he clicks it early.

7:51 p.m. Ron Muenks is on the bump spot at 6.258.
