Pro Nitrous Qualifying Notes, Final Session

PETERSBURG, Va. - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Pro Nitrous at the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech, Simply Phones U.S. Drags VI listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: John Camp Runs 9.636/41.58, Now #8; Best prior run: 4.024/184.95, Was #8
Right Lane: Kenny Rucker Runs 4.062/179.40, Now #9; Best prior run: 4.282/165.15, Was #10

10:31 p.m. Camp lost traction immediately and got very sideways before clicking it off. Rucker made a nice, smooth run for a big improvement to move up one spot.

Left Lane: John Decerbo Runs 6.298/91.73, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.997/180.24, Was #6
Right Lane: Danny Perry Runs 3.872/196.56, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.148/89.17, Was #12

Decerbo shook and slowed. Perry made a very nice run to move ten spots up the ladder, all the way up to the second spot.

Left Lane: Jason Harris Runs 3.872/191.62, Now #4; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Pat Stoken Runs 3.806/196.85, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.880/191.92, Was #4

Nice runs in both lanes, Harris going all the way to fourth and Stoken taking over the #1 spot.

Jason Harris' incremental times: 60ft-0.961 sec., 330ft-2.586.
Pat Stoken's incremental times: 60ft-0.937 sec., 330ft-2.546.

Left Lane: John Hall Runs 3.850/195.65, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.942/192.58, Was #6
Right Lane: Jim Laurita Runs 3.771/198.90, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.841/195.53, Was #2

Laurita was just knocked off the top spot by Stoken. He took care of that little problem with style - and Hall also stepped up big time, moving up to third.

John Hall's incremental times: 60ft-0.970 sec., 330ft-2.584.
Jim Laurita's incremental times: 60ft-0.945 sec., 330ft-2.527.

Left Lane: Randy Weatherford Runs 3.925/190.46, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.988/189.90, Was #7
Right Lane: Robert Mathis Runs 3.914/192.52, Now #7; Best prior run: 9.655/44.56, Was #16

Good runs in both lanes, but Mathis leapfrogged over him and moved him down a spot.

Now Robert Patrick Jr is on the bump spot at 8.873.

Left Lane: Robert Patrick Jr Runs 6.967/103.59, Now #16; Best prior run: 8.873/54.99, Was #16
Right Lane: Tommy Franklin Runs 3.964/182.87, Now #9; Best prior run: 5.404/91.09, Was #15

Patrick launched, shook, and slowed again. Franklin made a strong run and moved up several spots.

Left Lane: Ed Burnley Runs 5.017/100.18, Now #11; Best prior run: 4.003/186.67, Was #11
Right Lane: Mike Castellana Runs 5.350/85.34, Now #15; Best prior run: 5.045/98.48, Was #15

The small fire in Burnley's car after the first run was a battery problem and the car was not badly damaged.

Both cars shook, both drivers lifted.

Right Lane: Steve Jackson Runs 3.870/193.71, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.880/192.66, Was #6

Nice run, Jackson improving a hundredth over his first run, enough to move up two spots.

Right Lane: Matt Suite Runs 4.211/176.49, Now #14; Best prior run: 4.065/176.60, Was #14

Last car of the session, Suite had to lift to tame a wayward race car on his first run today.

Suite pedaled a couple times to get the car down the track, failed to improve.
