PITTSBURGH - Results of round 1 eliminations in Nitro Harley at the 2013 Nitro Jam Series, IHRA Pittsburgh Nitro Jam:
Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed----Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed Bye 815 Ray Cason E1 ****WINNER**** 0.181 10.817 72.13Cason got the bye with an odd number here tonight(5). He launched, slowed before going 100 feet.
Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed----Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed 77 Steve Pier 13 Tracy Kile E1 ****WINNER**** 0.068 5.835 175.03 0.156 7.509 107.53Pier made a pretty-good-looking run, it's hard to judge since they are running 1,000 feet here to give them plenty of shutdown area. Kile's bike was slow off the line and he shut it down in the middle of the run.
Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed----Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed 63 Jay Turner 101 Dean Comunal E1 ****WINNER**** 0.046 6.875 112.98 0.153 13.759 57.29Turner left hard, but shut it down about 300 feet into the run. Even so, he was an easy winner because Comunal's engine never did come up to racing RPM and he coasted through.
Turner will face Pier in the championship pair, Pier has lane choice.
