Schedule Change - Both Races Today
By Larry Sullivan
7:00 a.m. - With one eye on the weather radar (and it's not a pretty sight) and steadily worsening weather forecasts for Sunday,
IHRA race officials have gone to "Plan B."
Both of the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am series races will be run today (Saturday).
The two races will be run alternately - Race 1, Round 1; Race 2, Round 1; Race 1, Round 2; Race 2, Round 2; etc.
The "Door Wars" race, which was scheduled to be run Sunday, will be run during tonight's Nitro Jam event instead.
There will be two rounds of qualifying/time trials prior to Race 1. For Race 2, Stock and Super Stock will be randomly-paired.
It will be confusing, but it's better than sitting out severe weather at the track tomorrow.
