NORWALK, Ohio - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, North Central Division, Mickey Mart Rewards Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser:

  302 John Bojec                             12 John Anderika

1:41 p.m. -- Anderika drifted out of the groove at mid track and ran along the center line the rest of the way down the track but stayed with it for the win.

    3 Mickey Ferro                          377 Paul Noakes

 Qualified:             #6  5.663 252.61                        #3  5.654 252.43
Noakes was first off the starting line and was out in front at 60 feet. Ferro got by Noakes at 330 feet, then was pulling away when Noakes' car popped the blower and the chutes came out at 1,000 feet.

   35 Cassie Simonton                        37 Andy Bohl

Bohl was quicker off the starting line and stayed out in front for the entire quarter mile. Bohl's margin of victory was just about the same as his starting line advantage. Bohl will have lane choice over Anderika in the next round.

   33 Ray Drew                                8 Chris Foster

Drew got out of the gate more quickly and was out in front at 60 feet. He and Foster were side-by-side at 330 feet, then Drew's car began to drop off while Foster's car continued to accelerate. Foster had low ET of the round and will have lane choice over Ferro in round two.
