Left Lane: Chris Foster Runs 5.762/228.11, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.983/138.57, Was #8
Right Lane: Brian Harvanek Runs 5.766/221.60, Now #6; No Prior Run
4:00 p.m. - Harvanek did not make a qualifying attempt in the first session last night. This time, he had a good run going but the chutes came out a couple hundred feet early. Foster's car started trailing smoke at about 1,000 feet. Even with the smoke and some debris left on the track, Foster moved up three spots in the order.
Left Lane: Rob Pfeister No Time, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.494/200.23, Was #9
Right Lane: Paul Noakes No Time, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.102/107.39, Was #10
Noakes could not get his car started and did not make a qualifying attempt in this session. He'll have one more chance to qualifying tonight. Pfeister did his burnout and his car stalled out as he started to back up to stage. His crew had to push him back and out of the way.
Left Lane: Ray Drew Runs 8.551/97.52, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.879/253.42, Was #7
Right Lane: Cassie Simonton Runs 5.996/189.15, Now #8; Best prior run: 5.882/251.81, Was #8
Drew got way out of the groove and close to the wall so he backed off the throttle at mid track. Simonton lifted off the throttle just before she reached 1,000 feet. Both drivers stayed where they were in the order with Simonton in the bump spot. Word from the top end is that Drew activated the fire suppression system in his car after he crossed the finish line.

Right Lane: Andy Bohl Runs 5.839/255.00, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.660/259.21, Was #2
Bojec ran the same ET he had in the first session. Bohl was not as quick as he was last night.
Left Lane: Mickey Ferro Runs 5.794/224.21, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.663/252.61, Was #3
Right Lane: John Anderika Runs 12.302/71.11, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.632/255.63, Was #1
Anderika shook the rear tires hard coming out of the gate and clicked it off right away. Ferro was running strong to about 1,000 feet when the blower on his engine blew and the burst panel flew into the air.
