Funny Car Final, Round 3 Eliminations

CONCORD, N.C. - Results of final, round 3 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Fourth annual Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals fueled by Full Throttle:

wilkerson is 17-14 in final rounds. Hagan is 5-11 in finals. this is Alexander and Head's first trip to the final round.

Head goes up in smoke at the hit and backs off the throttle. Wilkerson gets about 300 feet out and starts skating around. Alexander made a clean run but wasn't strong enough to keep up with Hagan. Hagan goes right down the groove with a clean pass to take the win.

Finish Order & Margins: 1. Matt Hagan was 0.1373 sec./about 59 feet ahead of 2. Blake Alexander, who was 0.978 sec./more than 100 feet ahead of 3. Tim Wilkerson, who was 5.401 sec./more than 100 feet ahead of 4. Chad Head
