CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Fourth annual Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals fueled by Full Throttle listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Lane 1: Buddy Perkinson Runs 7.117/207.98, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.756/206.42, Was #8
Lane 2: Frank Gugliotta Runs 23.757/25.42, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.690/208.20, Was #7

Weather conditions: air temperature 64 degrees, relative humidity 29 percent, barometer 29.48 inches, adjusted altitude 1,159 feet, track temperature 96 degrees.

Perkinson with problems right off the starting line and the just drove it on through the quarter mile. Gugliotta with severe tire shake right at the green and clicked it off.

Johnson with the quickest pass of the day so far. The rest of them with problems had problems right off the starting line.

worden was timed out...Gray launched hard and keep it hooked up to run his career quickest and fastest pass to go to the number one spot. that is just a tick off the E.T. track record. Brogdon with a real nice pass to go to the number two spot. Morgan with another good looking pass. Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.994 sec., 330ft-2.774, 660ft-4.243/168.49 mph, 1,000ft-5.508.
Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.782, 660ft-4.258/167.57 mph, 1,000ft-5.530.
Lewis Worden's incremental times: 60ft-99.999 sec., 330ft-99.999, 660ft-99.999/000.00 mph, 1,000ft-99.999.
Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.734, 660ft-4.189/169.25 mph, 1,000ft-5.441.

This was a good side-by-side-by-side-by-side race. All four with their first passes of the weekend and Line goes to the number two spot with his fastest pass of the season. Anderson goes to the number three spot with his fastest pass of the season. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.998 sec., 330ft-2.758, 660ft-4.210/170.45 mph, 1,000ft-5.462.
V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.769, 660ft-4.229/169.53 mph, 1,000ft-5.486.
Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.994 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.210/169.38 mph, 1,000ft-5.461.
Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.751, 660ft-4.208/168.94 mph, 1,000ft-5.463.

Lane 2: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.511/213.47, Now #4; No Prior Run

Lane 4: Allen Johnson Runs 6.500/213.30, Now #3; No Prior Run

Edwards launched hard and goes to the number one spot with a career quickest pass. that is the quickest pass in the history of Pro Stock. That is a track E.T. record and the first leg on a National E.T. record. Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.726, 660ft-4.174/170.06 mph, 1,000ft-5.420. edwards needs to run a 6.536 pass to back that up.
Johnson with a great looking pass to go to the number three spot.Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.739, 660ft-4.193/169.30 mph, 1,000ft-5.444.
Coughlin was right behind his teammate in the fourth spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.201/170.00 mph, 1,000ft-5.455.
Enders-Stevens into the top half of the show. Erica Enders-Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.202/169.93 mph, 1,000ft-5.458.
