CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Fourth annual Dollar General NHRA Four-Wide Nationals fueled by Full Throttle listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Lane 3: Buddy Perkinson Runs 6.756/206.42, Now #2
Lane 4: Frank Gugliotta Runs 6.690/208.20, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 55 percent, barometer 29.10 inches, adjusted altitude 3,244 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

Both of these guys making their first appearance on the Mello Yello tour this season. Buddy Perkinson's incremental times: 60ft-1.011 sec., 330ft-2.858, 660ft-4.366/161.29 mph, 1,000ft-5.663.
Frank Gugliotta's incremental times: 60ft-1.022 sec., 330ft-2.828, 660ft-4.322/165.23 mph, 1,000ft-5.607.


Lane 1: Lewis Worden Runs 6.681/206.73, Now #3
Lane 2: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 7.124/200.20, Now #6
Lane 3: Warren Johnson Runs 6.669/207.98, Now #2
Lane 4: Larry Morgan Runs 6.644/208.14, Now #1

Morgan with the quickest pass of the session so far. Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.786, 660ft-4.278/165.11 mph, 1,000ft-5.562. Johnson is secon across the finish line in this quad. Warren Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.010 sec., 330ft-2.817, 660ft-4.304/165.11 mph, 1,000ft-5.588. Worden was the third quickest of the this quald and the session. Lewis Worden's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.798, 660ft-4.298/164.57 mph, 1,000ft-5.592. Gaydosh clicks it off early.

Lane 1: Kurt Johnson Runs 7.072/205.47, Now #9
Lane 2: Shane Gray Runs 6.601/210.67, Now #1
Lane 3: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.652/208.42, Now #3
Lane 4: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.687/207.59, Now #6

Johnson with severe tire shake and clicks it off. Gray is straight down the groove to go to the top of the list. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.779, 660ft-4.257/167.28 mph, 1,000ft-5.531. Brogdon with a nice pass to go to the number three spot. Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-1.004 sec., 330ft-2.796, 660ft-4.286/165.29 mph, 1,000ft-5.570. Stanfield with a clean pass to go to the number six spot. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.807, 660ft-4.309/164.17 mph, 1,000ft-5.600.
