Pro Extreme Qualifying Notes, Session #1
By Larry Sullivan

CECIL, Ga. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Extreme at the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech, Hardee's Georgia Drags VII listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Alex Hossler Runs 3.567/212.29, Now #1
Right Lane: Jay Diedrich Runs 7.889/55.74, Now #2

11:31 a.m. Diedrich shook, fishtailed and lifted. Hossler made a run in yesterday's test session that had everyone talking and he really should stir up some discussions with an awesome run, both the ET and speed are now pending records.

Alex Hossler's incremental times: 60ft-0.904 sec., 330ft-2.401.

Frank Manzo and Billy Stockman do the tuning on this car, and they do it very well.

Left Lane: Frankie Taylor Runs 3.697/206.04, Now #2
Right Lane: Bubba Stanton Runs 3.829/203.09, Now #3

Both drivers had to backpedal to get to the stripe here and both did a good job of saving the run.

Frankie Taylor's incremental times: 60ft-0.929 sec., 330ft-2.486.
Bubba Stanton's incremental times: 60ft-0.919 sec., 330ft-2.585.

Left Lane: Jason Scruggs Runs 3.754/202.30, Now #4
Right Lane: Von Smith Runs 3.674/208.04, Now #2

This is another strong matchup, either car capable of challenging Hossler for #1.

Hmmm, both runs looked good, Smith taking over the #2 spot, but neither threatened to unseat Hossler.

Left Lane: Tommy D'Aprile Runs 3.730/205.29, Now #4
Right Lane: Neal Wantye Runs 6.503/78.98, Now #7

Wantye's Mustang was shaking as soon as he launched. D'Aprile made a good-looking run to move into the top part of the field.

Tommy D'Aprile's incremental times: 60ft-0.924 sec., 330ft-2.513.

Left Lane: Danny Lowry No Time, Now #10
Right Lane: Richard Holt Runs 7.522/46.72, Now #8

Lowry's car was was shut off after the burnout, leaving a trail of "stuff" on the track. Holt's car launched, shook, and turned left, forcing him to lift.

Left Lane: Mike Neal Runs 8.983/63.55, Now #11
Right Lane: Mick Snyder Runs 3.685/205.98, Now #3

Neal went into immediate tire shake, but Snyder went straight down the groove on a clean run.

Mick Snyder's incremental times: 60ft-0.940 sec., 330ft-2.492.

Left Lane: Gene Hector No Time, Now #13
Right Lane: Tim Tindle Runs 5.545/121.90, Now #8

Hector made a very strong run during yesterday's test session - and it's a smallblock!

It looked like Hector's blower belt broke, the car starting to launch, then going silent. Tindle shook, pedaled, shook again.

Left Lane: Brandon Snider Runs 6.341/96.25, Now #9
Right Lane: Joey Martin Runs 7.415/78.93, Now #11

Both cars lost traction almost immediately.

Left Lane: John Stanley Runs 3.810/201.70, Now #7

Clean, straight, no-shake.

Left Lane: Todd Tutterow Runs 7.392/91.44, Now #12

Immediate tire shake to end the session.
