GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 44th annual Amalie Oil NHRA Gatornationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Right Lane: JR Carr Runs 14.012/60.27, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 70 degrees, relative humidity 32 percent, barometer 30.07 inches, adjusted altitude 908 feet, track temperature 89 degrees.

Carr with a lot of tire shake right at the hit and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Lewis Worden Runs 6.565/210.28, Now #1
Right Lane: Rickie Jones Runs 6.623/211.99, Now #2

Lewis Worden's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.755, 660ft-4.226/167.57 mph, 1,000ft-5.495.
Rickie Jones' incremental times: 60ft-1.036 sec., 330ft-2.830, 660ft-4.298/167.82 mph, 1,000ft-5.560.

Left Lane: Mark Martino Runs 6.614/211.06, Now #2
Right Lane: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 7.337/160.44, Now #4

Gaydosh shook and click it off early...Martino was straight down the groove. Mark Martino's incremental times: 60ft-1.001 sec., 330ft-2.801, 660ft-4.277/167.41 mph, 1,000ft-5.546.

Left Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 7.111/208.94, Now #4
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 7.135/206.83, Now #5

Johnson was real loose right at the hit, but drove through it. Morgan got real loose driving by the Christmas tree, but reeled it in.

Left Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.536/211.59, Now #1
Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 13.908/60.97, Now #8

Hartford is real loose right at the hit and pushed the clutch back in. Johnson was straight down the groove to the number one spot for now. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.746, 660ft-4.211/168.24 mph, 1,000ft-5.472.

Left Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.554/211.59, Now #3
Right Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.515/212.59, Now #1

McGaha with a great 60-foot time and goes to the number one spot. Chris McGaha's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.739, 660ft-4.199/168.49 mph, 1,000ft-5.455. Brogdon with a nice pass. Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-1.003 sec., 330ft-2.764, 660ft-4.228/168.70 mph, 1,000ft-5.490.

Left Lane: Shane Gray Runs 6.518/211.33, Now #2
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.537/211.73, Now #4

Gray with the quickest 60-foot time of the session and he goes to the number one spot. Shane Gray's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.735, 660ft-4.195/168.66 mph, 1,000ft-5.454. Stanfield with a real nice pass to go to the number four spot. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.212/168.26 mph, 1,000ft-5.474.

Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.493/212.03, Now #2
Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.481/213.64, Now #1

This was a great drag...they were side-by-side all the way dow the 1320. Johnson sets both ends of the track record and goes to the number one spot. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.725, 660ft-4.177/169.55 mph, 1,000ft-5.428. Johnson with the second quickest pass in the history of Pro Stock. This is a career quickest and fastest pass for Johnson. Anderson was right there with him to the number two spot. This is Anderson's career quickest pass. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.726, 660ft-4.178/169.61 mph, 1,000ft-5.431.

Left Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.483/213.10, Now #2
Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.504/213.47, Now #4

Line with a lot of time getting the car staged, but when he does he launches hard and was straight down the groove to the number two spot. Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.724, 660ft-4.174/169.98 mph, 1,000ft-5.425. Gaines with a grat pass to go to the number four spot. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.740, 660ft-4.198/168.94 mph, 1,000ft-5.450.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.492/213.16, Now #4
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.473/214.31, Now #1

Edwards launched hard and keeps it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.725, 660ft-4.173/170.19 mph, 1,000ft-5.421. Edwards with his career quickest and fastest pass, and the both ends of the track record. This is the quickest pass in the history of Pro Stock and the second fastest. Coughlin with a career quickest and fastest pass here to go to the number four spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.733, 660ft-4.186/169.78 mph, 1,000ft-5.436.

Left Lane: Erica Enders-Stevens Runs 6.505/212.66, Now #7
Right Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 6.513/212.86, Now #8

Enders-Stevens debuts her Chevy Camaro and makes a nice soft pass. Erica Enders-Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.740, 660ft-4.194/169.66 mph, 1,000ft-5.448. Nobile is straight down the groove. Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.741, 660ft-4.200/168.60 mph, 1,000ft-5.456.
