Left Lane: Richard Penland Runs 4.316/163.69, Now #4; Best prior run: 4.048/180.02, Was #4
Right Lane: Elijah Morton Runs 4.219/172.10, Now #6; Best prior run: 4.121/175.64, Was #6

Penland had a leg up on the speed record, but his car used up a lot of the lane
in the first 330 feet.

Right Lane: John Pluchino Runs 4.089/172.59, Now #2; Best prior run: 4.034/179.23, Was #2
Once again Gahm slowed on the top end. Pluchino made a good run, but did not improve - in fact, he lost ground for both ET and speed.
Left Lane: Doug Kirk Runs 5.877/83.14, Now #8; Best prior run: 4.125/177.60, Was #7
Right Lane: Pete Berner Runs 4.066/177.25, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.327/133.63, Was #10
Berner got a great start, used up a lot of the lane and still made a strong run. Kirk shook at the start and never fully recovered.
Left Lane: John Montecalvo Runs 12.303/33.66, Now #9; Best prior run: 4.161/175.94, Was #9
Right Lane: Lester Cooper Runs 7.276/71.13, Now #12; Best prior run: 5.449/116.16, Was #12
Both cars shook and turned sideways, then started coasting. Both refired the engine and drove off the track.
Left Lane: Scott Hintz Runs 5.253/96.01, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.070/86.55, Was #13
Right Lane: Dean Goforth Runs 4.051/178.40, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.089/177.63, Was #6
Hintz shook hard and slowed. Goforth made a nice run, just a hundredth slower than his career-best ET.
Left Lane: Cary Goforth Runs 4.592/118.74, Now #3; Best prior run: 4.039/180.14, Was #3
Right Lane: Trevor Eman Runs 4.838/112.05, Now #11; Best prior run: 5.316/96.40, Was #12
Both cars left hard, then both lost traction.

Deflorian had a pending speed recor and a backup good enough to go well into the threes, but we'll have to wait until the final session. He launched and shook, then slowed.
