Stock Eliminator Driver Transported After Accident

BAYTOWN, Texas - Stock driver Kyle Ratcliff, Denton, TX, was transported for medical evaluation after his car went out of control at the finish line during the first round of eliminations at the NHRA South Central Division Showdown at Sundown at Royal Purple Raceway Sunday morning.

Ratcliff's '98 Pontiac Trans Am, racing in the left lane, went sharply to the left after crossing the finish line, making hard contact with the left wall before coming to a stop against the right wall.

Ratcliff's opponent, Slate Cummings, Ponchatoula, LA, was not involved in the accident.
