Demke gets the power to the ground with just a little rattle near mid- track. He powers on down and runs close to the top half of the field.
Carroll's car was a little lazy off the line and then goes BOOM right before the lights. That moves him into the new bump spot for now.
Scott Carroll's incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.504, 660ft-3.722/202.88 mph, 1,000ft-4.768.

Crew chief Dana Hopewell, along with his wife Sheryl, has reunited with the Duane Shields' team after a one year absence. Looks like the plan is working!
McKernan fights the car all the way down the track, as the car darts from side to side down the track. That puts her back on the bump spot.
Shields' chutes are out early after a strong 3/4 pass. Couldn't say if it was on purpose or the emergency deployment system.
Duane Shields' incremental times: 60ft-0.942 sec., 330ft-2.480, 660ft-3.639/216.97 mph, 1,000ft-4.614.

St.Arnaud runs another career best speed, but it may have been expensive, as there is smoke from the right bank headers and a bang in the lights.
Severance gets a full pass this time and moves into the top half of the field. Nice looking pass.
Don St. Arnaud's incremental times: 60ft-0.951 sec., 330ft-2.475, 660ft-3.617/220.48 mph, 1,000ft-4.570.

Right Lane: Ray Martin Runs 5.386/269.40, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.342/269.19, Was #3
There is a big J&A Service logo on the side of the YNOT dragster.
Whiteley has the tune up and flies on down the track to move the top mark further from the rest of the pack. That's our first "twenty" pass of the weekend too.
Martin makes another clean pass and improves on his career best speed to stay number three.
Jim Whiteley's incremental times: 60ft-0.914 sec., 330ft-2.353, 660ft-3.475/220.19 mph, 1,000ft-4.439.
