Fair rattled the tires and the car started easing its way over toward the wall.
He got it back to the groove, then lifted.

Right Lane: Darvin Martinets Runs 14.701/53.69, Now #3
Martinets shook hard and lifted. Manners "boiled the hides." He tried to settle it down, but smoked the tires hard again.

Finally we see two cars go all the way to the stripe. Neither came close to their personal best, but it's a start.

Thompson overpowered the launch pad in a cloud of smoke. Brounkowski made a nice run, just a couple hundredths slower than his career-best ET
David Brounkowski's incremental times: 60ft-0.921 sec., 330ft-2.366, 660ft-3.465/227.00 mph, 1,000ft-4.417.
Left Lane: Randy Meyer Runs 13.666/76.11, Now #7
Right Lane: Gord Gingles Runs 5.351/267.43, Now #2
Meyer overpowered the launch pad in a cloud of smoke. Gingles made a nice run, just three thousandths slower than his career-best ET and 3 mph slower than his career-best speed.
That closes out the first session with Brounkowski on the top of the list and Martinets on the bump spot at 14.701.
