Organizer, Stuart Smith, had this to say about bringing the Rod Shootouts to Division 9: "This is a
way of bringing racers closer together with each other and with God Speed Ministry. This will be a
fun way to win some extra money and support God Speed as well. We at God Speed thank the entire
staff at Piedmont for allowing us to do this race. We will be speaking with the remainder of the
Division 9 tracks to work out the details of having this shootout at all D9 races this year."
Smith and God Speed Ministry also wish to thank Division 9 Director Satch Gragg and the entire IHRA
staff for supporting this new venture.
"If anyone is interested in sponsoring this event please fill free to contact me by phone,
Facebook, email or even at the events before they happen on Friday night," added Smith. "Questions
about the Shootout can be directed this way as well. Thanks for supporting this venture of God
Speed Ministry and I look forward to seeing everyone at Piedmont."
