Left Lane: Brittany Force Runs 4.069/223.54, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.987/78.17, Was #15
Right Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 3.812/310.63, Now #3; Best prior run: 8.200/74.50, Was #18
Force was on a good pass until just past half track when the engine goes silent and the pipes go wet. Pruett launched hard and keep it hooked up to go to the number three spot with her career best E.T....Leah Pruett's incremental times: 60ft-0.841 sec., 330ft-2.132, 660ft-3.039/276.13 mph.
Left Lane: Brandon Bernstein Runs 3.843/267.64, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.353/125.47, Was #16
Right Lane: Mike Strasburg Runs 6.108/95.90, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.790/77.69, Was #18
Strasburg goes to about 250 feet and the engine lets go with a quick fireball...and the word is there is oil in his lane. Bernstein was on a good pass until around 800 feet when the engine banged and he coasted through the finish line.

Langdon was up in smoke right off the starting line and Lucas began to shake and lose traction right at the hit and clicked it off. They will both go into Saturday with no-time.
Left Lane: Bob Vandergriff Runs 3.818/321.88, Now #4; Best prior run: 4.077/219.19, Was #14
Right Lane: Steve Torrence Runs 9.472/63.06, Now #15; Best prior run: 4.284/192.52, Was #15
Torrence started to lose traction early and clicked it off. Vandergriff launch hard and keep it hooked up to go to the number four spot. Bob Vandergriff's incremental times: 60ft-0.849 sec., 330ft-2.163, 660ft-3.066/282.30 mph.

Brown on only his second pass on this new car and he is straight down the groove with a great looking pass to go to the number one spot. McMillen had a lot of header flames right at the hit, but was up in smoke early and clicked it off. Millican started to shake and he clicked it off.

Kalitta launched hard and was straight down the groove to go to the number three spot, he has the big top end speed, the fastest of the event. Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.844 sec., 330ft-2.140, 660ft-3.028/285.23 mph. Dixon with a real nice pass move up the ladder a couple spots. This was a great side-by-side drag race to wrap up day one qualifying. Neither driver improves on their times from earlier today, but it was pretty with the header flames shooting over the rear wing on both cars all the way down the track.
