"For me and my team, when we raced in the NHRA a few years ago, it was the greatest time we ever had," said Erbacher. "In 2008 when we got into the quarter finals, that was a really great feeling. The other teams were always so nice to us. It's really the biggest dream for us to come back to the NHRA and race with the pros." Erbacher is the charismatic owner and driver of the Erbacher Racing Team. Based out of Switzerland, he has many championship titles under his belt: 3-time European FIA Top Fuel Dragster Champion (2007, 2010 & 2011), 3-Time European FIA Top Methanol Funny Car Champion (2003, 2004 & 2005). He also holds the record for fastest elapsed time in Top Methanol Funny Car and Top Fuel Dragster in Europe. When not at the track he is one of the most well-known custom motorcycle builders in Europe. Erbacher's European schedule will have him racing this summer in England, Sweden, Finland and Germany. In the fall he will come to the United States to compete in Las Vegas, October 24th - 27th and the NHRA Finals in Pomona, November 7th - 10th. The last time Erbacher competed in the NHRA was 2009. He ran six races, which included a powerful explosion in Houston. Luckily, he was able to walk away uninjured. With his goal to return to the United States, Erbacher teamed up with Forward Sports Marketing to help secure sponsors. Erbacher Racing also recently announced that 18 year-old Noah Stutz would drive a second Top Fuel dragster for the team. Stutz previously competed in European Junior Dragster and Super Comp divisions. Erbacher hopes to bring both dragsters to Las Vegas and Pomona. Erbacher and his team were also featured in the reality series, "Kings of Nitro." The Discovery Channel series shown in 120 countries followed the entire Erbacher team as they worked to come up with money to support the team, compete in a rigorous racing schedule on two continents while also running a successful business, and Urs bid to defend his championship title in Europe.
