Top Fuel Qualifying Notes, Session #1

JUPITER, Fla. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Pro Winter Warmup listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 3.850/307.16, Now #1
Right Lane: Sidnei Firgo Runs 3.883/318.24, Now #2

Pruett completed her cross-over license earlier this week and make a great pass in the Dote Family Racing ride. Frigo make the move up from Top Alcohol Dragster with Donnie Bender tuning the car makes real good pass. Real nice side-by-side for the Top Fuel rookies

Left Lane: Bob Vandergriff Runs 3.825/321.50, Now #1
Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 6.860/92.87, Now #4

The word is Kalitta is driving Morgan Lucas' Nitro Banana as he had to leave...he starts to lose traction and clicks it off. Vandergriff was straight down the groove with a real nice pass.

Left Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.828/321.42, Now #2
Right Lane: Brittany Force Runs 3.860/290.88, Now #4

Millican with a great pass, just a few ticks behind his teammate. Force with a a nice pass and then clicks it off early.

Left Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 3.776/324.59, Now #1
Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.860/302.28, Now #5

Schumacher with a grat pass to go to the number one spot...Tony Schumacher's incremental times: 60ft-0.851 sec., 330ft-2.149, 660ft-3.031/284.93 mph. Brown running the canopy and it appears he clicked it a little early.

Left Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.759/328.30, Now #1
Right Lane: David Grubnic Runs 3.870/271.08, Now #8

The Kalitta cars wrap up round one of qualifying at the Pro Winter Warmup...Kalitta launches hard and keeps it hooked up to go to the number one spot...Doug Kalitta's incremental times: 60ft-0.847 sec., 330ft-2.138, 660ft-3.021/284.99 mph. Grubnic appeared to be on a good pass and clicked it off early.
