Bennett Auto Supply Partners as presenting Sponsor of the Pro Winter Warmup

JUPITER, Fla. --

Bennett Auto Supply has partnered with Palm Beach International Raceway to become the presenting sponsor of the preseason professional drag racing event, the PRO Winter Warmup, January 18-19. The preseason event will be opened to the public for two nights for a side-by-side shootout between the fastest Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars driven by the top names in nitro racing.

Bennett Auto Supply has been a major sponsor of Palm Beach International Raceway and the track's drag racing fans. For the past eight years, Bennett Auto Supply has partnered with PBIR as the title sponsor of the Citrus Nationals, one of the largest drag racing events in South Florida.

As a leader in the auto parts industry, Bennett Auto Supply has sought to expand upon their partnership to support motorsport fans' passion for racing by now committing as the presenting sponsor of the PRO Winter Warmup for five years, starting with the upcoming January event. As of January 7, PRO Winter Warmup tickets will be sold for $5 off at select Bennett Auto Supply stores.

Palm Beach International Raceway is the only racetrack venue to open the preseason testing to the public as a two-night side-by-side shootout. PBIR is in in its third year of partnering with the PRO team owners to bring nitro racing to South Florida. Having seen tremendous growth in the first two years of the PRO Winter Warmup, PBIR is anticipating 2013 to be the largest event yet. Fans are treated to the fury of 10,000 horsepower nitro cars reaching nearly 400 mph and the top drivers in drag racing.

Twenty-three drivers have committed to participate in the PRO Winter Warmup shootout: John Force, the 15 time NHRA Funny Car champion and his daughter Courtney Force, who went on to be named the 2012 "Rookie of the Year" after racing against her father for the first time ever at the PRO Winter Warmup in January, 2012. Also in the staging lanes will be Tony Schumacher, a 7 time NHRA Top Fuel Champion and son of racing legend and team owner, Don Schumacher. Reigning 2012 Top Fuel Champion, Antron Brown and 2012 Funny Car Champion Jack Beckman will both make a return to PBIR. Other drivers participating include John Force Racing's teammates Robert Hight and Mike Neff, Don Schumacher Racing's drivers Ron Capps, Matt Hagan and Johnny Gray, Kalitta Motorsports drivers Doug Kalitta, Dave Grubnic, Del Worsham and Alexis DeJoria. Additional elite drivers include Bob Tasca III, Cruz Pedregon, Terry McMillen and Bob Vandergriff Jr. Morgan Lucas and Brandon Bernstein of Morgan Lucas Racing. Chad Head of Head Racing.
