LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 12th annual Big O Tires NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: John Hall Runs 7.006/190.38, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.038/189.28, Was #8

11:08 a.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 68 degrees, relative humidity 23 percent, barometer 27.96 inches, adjusted altitude 3,215 feet, track temperature 86 degrees.

Hall makes his second pass of the weekend and improves to the sixth spot.


Left Lane: Daryl Meadows Runs 7.660/165.46, Now #14; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 7.120/188.25, Now #13; No Prior Run

Meadows slows from his earlier attempt but gets in the field for now. Phillips makes his quickest pass of the weekend and gets in the show in the 13th spot for now.

Left Lane: Charles Sullivan Runs 7.350/174.23, Now #15; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 7.011/190.43, Now #7; No Prior Run

Sullivan was close to the centerline all the way through the run but hangs on with his quickest pass of the weekend and gets in the 15th spot for now. Gann makes his quickest pass of the weekend and moves all the way to the seventh spot.

Left Lane: Katie Sullivan Runs 7.183/186.00, Now #16; No Prior Run
Right Lane: GT Tonglet Runs 7.079/190.03, Now #14; No Prior Run

Sullivan drifted to the right near the end of the run but gets in the show on the bump for now. Tonglet improves and gets in the 14th spot for now.

Left Lane: Freddie Camarena Runs 7.169/186.95, Now #16; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.994/190.22, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.042/188.04, Was #11

Johnson makes his quickest pass of the weekend and moves all the way to the fourth spot. Camarena gets in on the bump, bumping out Katie Sullivan in the process.

Left Lane: Jim Underdahl Runs 7.535/147.84, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.059/188.15, Was #13
Right Lane: James Surber Runs 7.172/184.04, Now #17; No Prior Run

Surber makes his quickest pass of the weekend but just misses getting in the field. Underdahl has problems late but is already in the field.

Left Lane: Wesley Wells Runs 7.192/184.32, Now #19; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Matt Guidera Runs 7.227/181.74, Now #20; No Prior Run

Guidera drifts a little to the left early and slows from his earlier attempt. Wells slows and does not get in the field.

Left Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.175/184.60, Now #19; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Redell Harris Runs 7.133/188.78, Now #16; No Prior Run

Harris is a little sluggish off the line but recovers and ges in the field on the bump spot for now. Berry doesn't improve and will not be in the field.

Left Lane: Chip Ellis Runs 6.990/191.24, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.056/189.02, Was #12
Right Lane: Hector Arana Runs 6.989/191.57, Now #4; No Prior Run

Ellis makes a nice pass and moves up to the fifth spot. Arana makes his best pass of the weekend and moves all the way to the fourth spot.

Left Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 6.996/190.89, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.041/190.06, Was #13
Right Lane: Kieth Burley Runs 7.108/185.87, Now #16; No Prior Run

Burley makes a quick move toward the wall off the line, pulls the bike back toward the groove, then goes on through and gets in on the bump. Stoffer improves and moves up to the seventh spot.

Left Lane: LE Tonglet Runs 6.973/192.52, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.998/190.30, Was #8
Right Lane: Jerry Savoie Runs 7.643/132.43, Now #26; No Prior Run

Savoie has problems late in the run and does not make the field. Tonglet improves and moves up to the third spot.

Left Lane: Scotty Pollacheck Runs 6.989/189.87, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.015/186.87, Was #13
Right Lane: Michael Ray Runs 6.970/190.92, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.011/188.07, Was #12

Ray makes the quickest pass of the weekend so far and moves up to the third spot for now. Pollacheck makes his best run of the weekend and moves into the top half of the field.

Left Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.912/194.41, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.968/191.51, Was #2
Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.963/194.07, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.001/191.65, Was #11

Arana Jr. makes the quickest pass of the weekend so far and takes the top spot for now. Hines improves and moves up to the third spot.

Left Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.902/195.11, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.938/193.88, Was #2
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.955/192.25, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.981/190.19, Was #6

Krawiec makes the quickest pass of the weekend and collects the three bonus points for this round. Smith improves and gets in the third spot.
