Pro Modified Qualifying Notes, Final Session

LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 12th annual Big O Tires NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Harold Martin Runs 11.290/92.32, Now #20; Best prior run: 9.661/100.81, Was #20
Right Lane: Clint Satterfield Runs 6.085/220.40, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.408/237.25, Was #17

Martin shook right off the starting line and clicked it off and he will not get in the show. Satterfield with a nice pass, straight down the groove into the show. Clint Satterfield's incremental times: 60ft-1.067 sec., 330ft-2.753, 660ft-4.032/194.63 mph, 1,000ft-5.119.

Left Lane: Chris Juliano Runs 6.337/223.43, Now #18; Best prior run: 9.433/118.94, Was #19
Right Lane: Mike Knowles Runs 6.698/188.17, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.278/239.74, Was #17

Juliano with his quickest pass of the weekend, but he will not get in the show. No help here for Knowles and he will not get in the show.

Left Lane: Chip King Runs 6.099/245.63, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.339/146.45, Was #19
Right Lane: Kenny Lang Runs 6.023/243.28, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.140/242.23, Was #16

Lang with his quickest pass of weekend to get off the bubble. Kenny Lang's incremental times: 60ft-1.017 sec., 330ft-2.684, 660ft-3.988/190.24 mph, 1,000ft-5.095. King with his quickest pass of the weekend, but will not get in the show.

Left Lane: Raymond Commisso Runs 5.968/245.45, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.023/244.21, Was #13
Right Lane: Dennis Radford Runs 6.018/238.81, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.040/237.63, Was #15

Commisso with a great pass to get into the top half of the show. Raymond Commisso's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.648, 660ft-3.951/191.57 mph, 1,000ft-5.049. Radford with a real nice pass to move up the ladder. Dennis Radford's incremental times: 60ft-1.008 sec., 330ft-2.668, 660ft-3.970/190.65 mph, 1,000ft-5.078.

Left Lane: Mike Janis Runs 10.139/87.13, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.020/239.91, Was #14
Right Lane: Jay Payne Runs 10.775/92.54, Now #10; Best prior run: 5.995/241.58, Was #10

Janis shook hard right off the starting line and Payne also shakes early in the run and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Steve Matusek Runs 5.967/249.81, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.019/237.59, Was #13
Right Lane: Troy Coughlin Runs 5.880/252.71, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.989/242.06, Was #9

Coughlin launched hard and goes to the number three spot with a great looking run. Troy Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-1.021 sec., 330ft-2.692, 660ft-3.938/200.14 mph, 1,000ft-4.990. Matusek with a good clean pass to get into the top half of the show. Steve Matusek's incremental times: 60ft-1.018 sec., 330ft-2.709, 660ft-3.994/193.27 mph, 1,000ft-5.063.

Left Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 6.033/240.34, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.013/239.70, Was #12
Right Lane: Todd Tutterow Runs 6.037/246.71, Now #8; Best prior run: 5.967/242.67, Was #8

Smith with another good pass, but will not improve. Rickie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.015 sec., 330ft-2.697, 660ft-3.990/190.24 mph, 1,000ft-5.097. No help here for Tutterow and he will stay in the number eight spot. Todd Tutterow's incremental times: 60ft-1.003 sec., 330ft-2.754, 660ft-4.044/196.62 mph, 1,000ft-5.125.

Left Lane: Pete Farber Runs 6.145/242.32, Now #10; Best prior run: 5.971/243.46, Was #10
Right Lane: Mike Castellana Runs 11.929/71.86, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.945/239.91, Was #6

Castellana shook right off the starting line and clicked off. No help here for Farber and he will stay in the number 10 spot.

Left Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 5.912/250.27, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.924/250.23, Was #5
Right Lane: Donald Martin Runs 11.335/103.25, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.917/244.12, Was #4

Martin shook hard right off the starting line and clicked it off. Pruett with her quickest pass of the weekend and moves up the ladder one spot. Leah Pruett's incremental times: 60ft-1.025 sec., 330ft-2.695, 660ft-3.949/198.20 mph, 1,000ft-5.014.

Left Lane: Don Walsh Runs 5.824/250.78, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.841/253.85, Was #1
Right Lane: Danny Rowe Runs 5.890/245.67, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.878/245.27, Was #2

Rowe with another good looking pass, third quickest of the session. Danny Rowe's incremental times: 60ft-0.956 sec., 330ft-2.592, 660ft-3.884/193.05 mph, 1,000ft-4.974. Walsh with the a great pass, the quickest pass of the weekend. Don Walsh's incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.636, 660ft-3.889/199.67 mph, 1,000ft-4.939. Walsh holds on to the number one spot and this will be his fourth consecutive No. 1 qualify spot.
