LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 12th annual Big O Tires NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed this round, amount over/under index this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time, speed & over/under Index, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Lou Ficco Runs 6.980/197.02/-0.640, Now #4; B/AA Index: 7.62, Prior Best: 7.067/194.72/-0.553, Was #16
Right Lane: Bill Kent Runs 10.182/68.04/2.862, Now #29; B/D Index: 7.32, No Prior Run

10:08 a.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 64 degrees, relative humidity 26 percent, barometer 27.97 inches, adjusted altitude 2,944 feet, track temperature 83 degrees.

Ficco moves to the left, then back to the right, then goes on through with his quickest pass of the weekend to move up to the fourth spot for now. Kent makes his only pass of the weekend and gets in the 29th spot.

Mettler improves and moves up a few spots to tenth. Patterson moves up to the eighth spot for now.

Graham slows from his earlier attempt and stays in the 22nd spot. Sigmon improves a little and moves up a spot in the order.

Neff rattled the tires a little off the line but still manages to improve and move up to the fourth spot. Lane improves to the eighth spot for now.

Fitzpatrick has problems early but will be in the show in the 30th spot for now. Hartford slows and will stay in the seventh spot.
