BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Nostalgia Pro Mod at the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series, California Hot Rod Reunion XXI:

1:01 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 71 degrees, relative humidity 44 percent, barometer 29.24 inches, adjusted altitude 1,853 feet.
Meadors gets a luck win, even though he has the red light, as Overholser's Chevy gets really loose and starts to bicycle right off the line. He gets the car dead sideways and darts across the track into Meadors lane, taking out the 330 foot reflector. The run is DQ'd.
Meadors pass way straight and clean to take the best ET and speed of the weekend.

Marc Meadors' incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.618, 660ft-3.888/195.36 mph, 1,000ft-4.966.

Renteria is away first and then has the car get loose. He pedals, but Williamson is long gone for the easy win.

Bret Williamson's incremental times: 60ft-1.092 sec., 330ft-2.776, 660ft-4.120/184.19 mph, 1,000ft-5.263.

Housley has a small starting line advantage, but has issues and slows.
Lopone makes a big improvement in performance in the easy win, but will give up lane choice to Meadors next round.

Joe Lopone Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-1.027 sec., 330ft-2.728, 660ft-4.081/182.82 mph, 1,000ft-5.239.

Bailey takes the lead at the green and runs a better ET to secure the easy win. He will have lane choice over Williamson next round.
Cacioppo's Corvette gets loose off the line and he has to lift.
