ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 2 eliminations in Pro Extreme at the American Drag Racing League, ADRL World Finals VIII presented by CarSafe:

6:52 p.m. Scruggs took himself out of the championship chase with a red light and Mick Snyder is the 2012 Pro Extreme champion.

With the championship pressure now off his shoulders, all Snyder had to worry about now was trying to win this event. However, Stott showed why he's known as a giant-killer in the first round and he, too, wants to win this event.

Stott made this a victory lap in fine fashion, away first and once again in the sixties.

These two are teammates, Taylor shown as the crew chief and owner on Tindle's car.
Tindle didn't cut Taylor any slack and it was a close race, trading the lead back and forth at least once.

Frankie Taylor's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(0.004), 330 ft(-0.001). MOV: 0.0155 seconds (approximately 5 feet). He will have lane choice against Smith in the semifinals.

These two were just a hundredth apart in round one, so this looked like it would be a driver's race.

It was, D'Aprile once again quickest of the round after a stunning double-oh light. D'Aprile will have lane choice against Snyder in the semifinals.
