6:08 p.m. There were a bunch of holeshot wins in round one, Schorr's one of the biggest. But Bertsch got off the line first this time and Schorr could not run with him after that.

O'Brien was early, then Montecalvo's car bogged on the launch. He won't have lane choice when he faces Goforth in the semifinals.

Morton got the starting line advantage, but Deflorian led before they went 60 feet and stayed in the lead the rest of the way. John Deflorian Jr.'s MOV: 0.0222 seconds (approximately 6 feet). He will have lane choice against Bertsch in the semifinals.
