Nostalgia Pro Mod Qualifying Notes, Final Session

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Notes from final, round 2 qualifying in Nostalgia Pro Mod at the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series, California Hot Rod Reunion XXI listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Marc Meadors Runs 6.127/240.98, Now #1; Best prior run: 8.836/92.50, Was #8
Right Lane: John Overholser No Time, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.933/202.48, Was #4

11:31 a.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 48 percent, barometer 29.17 inches, adjusted altitude 2,491 feet.

Overholser does his burnout and then has to click it off.

Meadors goes to the top of the pack on a clean and straight pass.

Marc Meadors' incremental times: 60ft-1.111 sec., 330ft-2.810, 660ft-4.106/192.03 mph, 1,000ft-5.202.


Left Lane: Scott Bailey Runs 6.054/240.64, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.226/236.38, Was #3
Right Lane: Bret Williamson Runs 6.210/229.08, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.033/227.57, Was #6

Bailey is next for the top spot with Williamson picking up a bunch into the top four.

Scott Bailey's incremental times: 60ft-1.014 sec., 330ft-2.708, 660ft-4.020/190.35 mph, 1,000ft-5.124.
Bret Williamson's incremental times: 60ft-1.008 sec., 330ft-2.734, 660ft-4.090/185.13 mph, 1,000ft-5.234.

Left Lane: Sean Renteria Runs 14.110/81.77, Now #11; Best prior run: 14.089/72.94, Was #10
Right Lane: John Scialpi Runs 8.448/127.01, Now #9; No Prior Run

First attempt for Scialpi and he leaves hard. The car moves towards the wall and he has to lift.

Renteria sits on the line for a while and then has the car chug and buck off the line.

Left Lane: Terry Housley Runs 7.252/136.76, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.167/233.80, Was #3
Right Lane: Mike Doushgonian Runs 7.015/182.95, Now #7; Best prior run: 8.408/91.67, Was #8

Housley has a strong 1.008 sixty foot time and runs hard to about the about the half track mark before slowing.

Doushgonian has his own issues near the top end and has to pump the throttle.

Terry Housley's incremental times: 60ft-1.008 sec., 330ft-2.700, 660ft-4.156/153.95 mph, 1,000ft-5.707.
Mike Doushgonian's incremental times: 60ft-1.137 sec., 330ft-3.004, 660ft-4.401/178.83 mph, 1,000ft-5.761.

Right Lane: Rob Cacioppo Runs 6.490/206.16, Now #6; Best prior run: 10.867/81.54, Was #10

Cacioppo engine sounded like it was struggling, but he gets near a full pass this time to move to the number six spot.

Rob Cacioppo's incremental times: 60ft-1.074 sec., 330ft-2.815, 660ft-4.235/173.32 mph, 1,000ft-5.445.

Right Lane: Joe Lopone Jr. Runs 6.495/221.16, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.178/174.30, Was #9

Lopone makes a good safe pass this time and moves up the ladder two spots to the new #7 spot.

11:43 a.m. scott Bailey is number one at 6.054 and John Overholser is on the bump spot at 6.933.
