Left Lane: Blake Alexander Runs 4.163/293.60, Now #13; Best prior run: 4.189/299.93, Was #14
Right Lane: Tony Pedregon Runs 4.501/267.64, Now #16; Best prior run: 5.219/146.48, Was #17
Both drivers were quicker than the first session but not quick enough to make the top 10. Pedregon's car started losing cylinders at mid track, and trailed smoke as he crossed the finish line.

Right Lane: Mike Smith Runs 10.204/76.30, Now #17; Best prior run: 4.761/178.00, Was #17
Smith got out to 330 feet, then went up in smoke....the rear tires on his car, not Smith himself. DeJoria had a really nice run to move up 12 spots in the order and into the number two spot for now.
Left Lane: Tim Wilkerson Runs 4.410/201.70, Now #13; Best prior run: 4.150/284.15, Was #13
Right Lane: Todd Lesenko Runs 4.176/272.23, Now #15; Best prior run: 4.298/270.05, Was #15
Neither drive was quick enough to make the top 12, so both will have to try again tomorrow to make the field.
Left Lane: Robert Hight Runs 4.061/321.81, Now #5; Best prior run: 4.113/308.92, Was #8
Right Lane: John Force Runs 4.038/315.19, Now #4; Best prior run: 4.114/307.65, Was #9
Hight moved up three spots in the order with a career best speed and a new track speed record. Force moved up five spots, into the number four spot for now with his season best ET.
Left Lane: Jim Head Runs 6.123/106.09, Now #9; Best prior run: 4.107/301.60, Was #9
Right Lane: Courtney Force Runs 5.082/146.56, Now #8; Best prior run: 4.091/311.99, Was #8
Head only got 100 feet out when the engine let go and flame shot out from under his car. Force got to the 660 foot marker when she clicked it off.
Left Lane: Mike Neff Runs 4.017/318.84, Now #1; Best prior run: 4.026/315.93, Was #1
Right Lane: Cruz Pedregon Runs 8.278/82.25, Now #3; Best prior run: 4.034/313.00, Was #3
Neff and Pedregon were together at 60 feet, but then Pedregon lost power and coasted while Neff recorded his career best ET and speed to take over the number one spot in the order.
Left Lane: Jeff Arend Runs 4.097/307.86, Now #10; Best prior run: 4.137/306.95, Was #12
Right Lane: Jack Beckman Runs 3.989/320.58, Now #1; Best prior run: 4.121/308.28, Was #10
Arend and Beckman were supposed to run after Wilkerson and Lesenko. Both drivers had down their burnouts and were getting ready to stage when they were told to shut off because of oil in the right lane, past the finish line. Beckman and Arend both took their cars back to the pits to refuel, before coming back to run now at the end of the second session in Funny Car qualifying.
The wait was worth it for Beckman as he let loose with a career best ET and speed to take the top spot in the order this evening.
Arend also had a nice looking run, moving up two spots in the order. Beckman's pass was the second quickest Funny Car pass ever,
behind Ron Capps' 3.964 second run.
