MADISON, Ill. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, Inaugural AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals:

Neff is 13 - 7 against Pedregon in prior events.

Neff is third in the points and needs this win if he wants to keep his championship hopes alive. Pedregon is not in the top ten.

Neff has been struggling all weekend with only one good run.

The struggles for Neff continue here, he hits the throttle and goes up in smoke. Pedregon goes right down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend to take the win.

Beckman is 12 - 4 against Arend in prior events.

Beckman is second in the points and is still 90 points behind Capps.

Beckman gets a free pass here as Arend develops an oil leak on the burnout and has to shut the engine down. Beckman goes right down Broadway and will have lane choice over Pedregon in the next round.

Wilkerson is 8 - 0 against Creasy Jr. in prior events.

Creasy hits the throttle, gets about 60 feet out and goes up in smoke. Wilkerson went right down the groove with the quickest run of the day to take the win.

Capps is 10 - 5 against Hagan in prior events.

Capps is still way out in front in the points chase and isn't giving anyone the chance to make up any ground.

Capps comes off the line, gets about 200 feet out, starts rattling the tires and has to pedal. Hagan starts pulling away quickly at that point and increases his lead all the way through the run to take the upset win.

Wilkerson will have lane choice over Hagan in the next round.
