Wilkerson had a nice holeshot, but it sounded like shifter problems at the 2-3 shift. Gast wins with his best ET of the event.

McKinney left first and was never headed, pulling away for the win. He ran his best ET of the event, but won't have lane choice against Gast in the semifinals, by a thousandth.

Young got in because Casey Stemper bypassed the scales after grenading his engine.

Young staged, but did not launch at the green and Vantine hesitated, then launched. He will have lane choice against Schweigert in the semifinals, by four thousandths.
